ds lite upgrading??

my dd has a ds lite. She wants the new DS not sure of the name right now. But I heard you could trade your old ds in and up grade ( sort of like a cell phone) does anybody know where yo could do this? also if you can how can I get it away from her for christmas LOL still believes in santa!!!

GameStop will do it. I believe you turn in the DS and get a DSi for $70.

I'm torn -- my DD really wants a DSi, but the new one does not have a slot for GB Advance games, and the selection of new games seems pretty slim.

It's the ONLY thing she wants for Christmas, though.

Can't help you with the daughter thing, unless you want to take it over night while she's sleeping and leave a letter from Santa which said that part of her gift would be to clean it and bring it back on Christmas (sort of like the Grinch's lie to Cindylou Who).

As of right now gamestop is only giving $30 trade in value for a DSlite. That makes the DSi $139.99/ The above deal was only for ashort time right after the DSi came out. WE traded in my DS(which I nver play) and 3 games and got the DSi for right at $100. As far as games is will play all of the current Ds games o the market, and there is a massive selection out there. I got a littlest pet shop, Smart Girl playhouse, and a petz game for DD6. It will not play the old cartrige based GBA games.

$30 just doesn't seem worth it IMO. I would just keep the other DS as a spare.

Not to hi-jack your tread but hopefully to add to it, does anyone know if there are problems getting on Webkinz world from a DSi? The salesman at Sears said there might be and that was the main reason I wanted it.
