My ds9 wants these, we don't want to spend a lot of time shopping, maybe just half a day, where will we get both? We are staying at POFQ, no car.

Hi there

Excuse my ignorance, are the Heelys, the trainers with the wheels on? If so I am sure someone told us recently that at Belz outlet they paid only about £20 for a pair, I think they are quite pricey here.

Yes, thats right & I asked the same question a few months ago. Thanks for your help.

I plan to hit walmart or target for the ds lite and then get the heelies as we shop on rest days. The price for a ds lite seems to be around $129 online for most places.

We bought Heelys for the kids on our trip last Christmas. As it happens we got them in two different places - mainly because DS was with us one day and DD another. For DS it was in Florida Mall and DD's were bought at what I would call one of the 'tacky' tourist shops on 192 (just on the left before Formosa Gardens junction). Think we paid in the region of $60-$70 each.

Beware of the copies in Premium Outlet Mall - called Wheelies. They do the same but the wheels don't pop out (on Heelys you replace wheels with plugs to make ordinary shoes) they just seem to push in and release when you want the wheels. To me that wasn't just as safe (if you can call Heelys safe :) ) - worried in case they become loose and just drop down themselves.

Happy shopping,

Tracey

Another option (if you get a good price) is to order and pay for the items at Amazon.com (the American site) and have them delivered to your hotel in Orlando. That's what I did with my camera memory cards and it was so simple - I just added my hotel address to my addresses in my Amazon a/c and chose that one for the delivery. There's obviously no customs/duty involved then and cheaper postage too as it's within the U.S. I put the order through the day before we left for Orlando and they arrived the day after we got there. No hassle at all. :thumbsup2

;) If you do buy a pair don't allow them to be worn to the theme parks. Heelys are actually banned from Disney theme parks and DTD I've read some posts on these boards and on Allearsnet.com and they are usually correct on these things. There have been accidents involving kids wearing these items causing nasty injuries to other guests (and not even an apology for the incidents), probably not thinking about where they were going or slowing down, come to think of it I've never seen anyone wearing in-line skate either.;)

Thanks guys. Some good advice here. DS9 knows he would'nt be able to wear the Heeleys in the parks. I'm surprised that anyone does. Hello to Stevensmom from Stephensmum, you made me laugh.
