Add me to the Nerf bandwagon.
Two of my kids are on their 2nd DS's since the first ones were nerf-less. The hinges broke from multiple droppings, etc...
All 3 of my kids got a ds Christmas 2009 & guess what? They still work, nothing is broken on them & yes they have been dropped. The old ones only lasted about a year to 15 months if that.
My kids currently are 9, 7 & 4.
