DS has strep again...

so I'm home today and armed with bleach and hot water. His room is getting a complete scrubbing, especially his bedding. Tomorrow the toothbrushes are getting tossed. I wish he'd take a nap, but I KNOW I won't get that lucky.

Hope he feels better...we went thru a period of time when DD was about 3.5 yrs old where she had strep about 5 times that year. It was crazy. Luckily she grew out of that.

Does he get it a lot? I have a friend that everytime 1 of her boys gets strep they all have to take meds. If they don't they just pass it back and forth. So far they haven't gotten strep this winter. If they don't it will be the first winter in 14 years they haven't had to deal with it.

Lots of sympathy here. I'm awful about picking up strep throat.

One hint: You don't have to toss your toothbrush (unless it's time for a new one anyway). Just run it through the dishwasher, and it'll be sanitized.

I used to get strep throat (andother sore throats) all the time. Finall when I was 10 they took my tonsils out. I am 19 now and never had strep since, and get sore throats very rarely (usually the night I leav for Disney ). Maybe you shold look into that as a last resort, if noe medications help him out. If you get them taken out you are more proned to picking up illnesses (tonsils catch bacteria) but I still don't get sick near as much as I used to get sore throats.
