DS before hours--Tree Stroll?

We'll be down there the week after Christmas (never done a Xmas trip before!! and the last time we went it was called Downtown Disney!) and was wondering about going to Disney Springs before hours to see the sights and tree stroll before the crowds of the day hit. Is this possible? We are staying onsite but was thinking we'd Uber over about 8:30/9:00am. Hours posted are that it opens at 10am. I'd like to be done with a small amount of shopping and lunch by 1:00pm to do other things that afternoon. Can we get in to wander around about that 8:30/9:00am time?????

You know have to go through temp ands bag check. Reports seem to confirm these are open by 9:30

I was there at 9:15 this morning and temp and bag check were open.
