It looks like we will be getting the Deluxe DDP for two days of our stay and we want to use a 2 TS credit meal for our first afternoon or evening. This will be DS's 8th Bday and I was wondering which place would be nice for us to enjoy and celebrate. I have thought about the Hoop de Doo~ but are Bdays recognized in any way there? This will be for a Friday afternoon or night in June.
We will also have 1 other TS credit to use for that same day so I need to figure that out too. Over the course of our entire trip we are eating at alot of different places: (Chef Mickeys, LeCellier, Boma, Akershus, Crystal Palace, 1900 Park Fare, Liberty Tree Tavern, and Hollywood & Vine) so I would like something different than one of these for our 1TS credit if possible, but no breakfasts. (Is Teppan Edo on the DDP again yet?)

I would love some suggestions!

Hi~ I am traveling in August and our trip will be over my son's 8th birthday, as well. I am also taking the DxDDP because a few of the restaurants/shows I wanted to do were 2 TS. I choose the Hoop Dee Doo for the night of arrival dinner/show...it is one of the only shows/restaurants that consistantly receives excellent reviews..

For the day of my son's birthday I choose The Whispering Canyon for breakfast..easy boat trip from the CR for us...I heard they do cute antics and the staff get highly involved if someone is celebrating a birthday. For Dinner I choose CRT since we are spending the day in the MK. I just felt having dinner in the castle would be a great end to his day....The princesses do not walk around for dinner so I thought he would like it more then breakfast or lunch.

I am eating at many other restaurants throughout our stay and we do have an ADR at Teppon Edo's..my kids love the hibachi thing..we have done it in the caribbean with them...it is on the dining plan, 1 TS.

Have a great trip! ;)

thanks
the Hoop Dee Doo does sound like fun and it would probably be a good way to start off our trip.

Wow I woluld love to go to Teppan Edo~ when I was making all my ADRs they weren't on the DDP yet so that is so cool. ONly thing I wasn't really planning on going into the parks on day one. I may have to think about though now!

I am not going into the parks on day one either...The Hoop Dee Doo Review is located at Fort Winderness. I am going to spend my afternoon arrival day at the pool at The Contemporary (we are staying there) and go to the show for dinner....It sounded like a great way to start my trip, as well! ;)

The HDDR does recognize birthdays!! And anniversaries etc.. In the middle of the show the characters come down and ask if anyone is celebrating anything special and they come to each table that is celebrating to announce to the entire theatre what is being celebrated. Very cool I would think for an 8 yo! My kids 7 & 3 love HDDR. It is a very silly show that is good for all ages.
