Dry hands!

It's about that time of the year again, I get severe dry chapped hands. I don't like the feel of lotion on my hands all day, so I usually just put it on at night, so I need something great. My wife got me some a few years ago that I think was made by Johnson & Johnson but can't seem to find it at any store.
So who has some recommendations?

I personally like the Mary Kay Satin Hands hand cream. I don't use anything else MK, but my mom does and she gave me a set a few years ago and I love it!

The best lotion I have found for dry hands and feet is Jergen's Ultra Healing. It is a 24 hour lotion, so if you put it on at bed time you are good till next time. It to me is a non greasy lotion and absorbs well. Even got my boss to using it and I over heard him telling somebody else about it.

:thumbsup2 I was just about to nominate Jergen's Ultra. I believe it has an orange cap? Works wonderfully!

And knock it off with the Purell or other anti-germ stuff you put on your hands. That's at least 61% alcohol which dries out your hands like you wouldn't believe!

Is it the same stuff I just got from Walmart? :

Johnson & Johnson Shea & Cocoa Butter

It is in the baby aisle (not the lotion aisle) and moisturizes for 24 hours. White bottle with a yellowish colored lid.

I love this lotion! It absorbs quickly, and works great on my face, as well as my hands, elbows, feet, etc.

If you don't mind greasy hands at night, try putting on vaseline and then covering your hands with a cotton sock while you sleep. The next morning, your hands will be nice and soft.

We use an alcohol-free hand sanitizer and it has a little bit of lotion in it. I don't usually like the feel of lotion on my hands, either, but this has just enough to make our hands soft and it feels great!

I wash my hands a lot throughout the day and when it starts getting drier and colder here in PA I switch to a moisturizing hand soap (I like the bath and body works ones). The moisturizing soaps contain moisturizers that lubricate the skin and keeps hands from chapping. I bring my own moisturizing soap to work and take it with me when using the facilities. By using this type of soap, it prevents my hands from chapping. Give it a try.

Just so you know---I'm not beig the DIS police ;)

I posted something similar a couple of weeks ago. There were many suggestions including a product from Avon. Might be worth cehcking it out in case folks don't repost here. There were so many product suggestions. I'm having a hard time choosing one. I'm making do with products I already have until we have some extra money for hand cream sampling. The Avon one was intriguing because it was quite inexpensive. There was a pricier suggestion that was appealing as well.

Eucerin makes a great hand cream that doesn't feel "lotiony". It's the only thing that keeps my hands from cracking in the winter.

This is also the one I was going to recommend. I have psoriasis, and this is the only lotion I have found that is good all day.

I second the B&BW moisturizing hand soap. It really makes a big difference in the winter. I also use Neutrogena Hand CREAM at night to really restore moisture to my hands while I sleep.

I have a child with severe dry hands. She also has a sensitivity to touch and smell.
Last year we finally stumbled upon Gold Bond Ultimate. IT worked like a charm. Light scent, feels nice, works miracles!

We bought it in bulk at Costco, but I have also picked up purse sizes at CVS for 1.99 or less.

I would recommend picking up a few different ones at CVS or Target in the travel sizes and finding one you like best!

I've been using Olay Quenche. I, too, can't stand lotion on during the day, so I'll put some on right before I go to bed and I'm pretty good the next day.

Have you tried a really thick lotion and putting socks or cotton gloves on your hands over night???
