Sorry so long but amusing...

Ok, so as some of you know I work at a movie theater, last Thursday a couple came into to see a movie, they were being loud and were warned that if they kept talking they would be removed from the theater, we almost had to, as they were leaving the guy told the woman that told us that he was talking that if her husband had been with her that he would have kicked his a*s, this was right as they were leaving.

So the next day, last Friday, the couple came in again and were totally smashed, this was at 4 in the afternoon. The girl was crying really bad and they came up to the ushers podium and said that they didn't have tickets yet that they had to go to the bathroom, I went to clean a theater and as I finished I saw them walk into a theater, I went to ask the person at the podium if they had bought tickets yet and she said no, so I went in to the theater and found them in a very close to compromising position, but went up to them and asked if they had tickets, they said that they had just come from the bar and that they couldn't remember if they had bought tickets, they looked and couldn't find any, so I told they guy that we could go see if the person in the box recognized them, really just so that he would realize that he needed to buy tickets, but the second we got to the lobby he insisted that he had bought tickets from that guy in the box, first of all that guy was a female and when she said that he hadn't bought tickets he asked me how old she was, insinuating that her memory was bad, now she might be mean but she is as sharp as a tack, he kept on insisting he had bought a ticket, we kept on saying no, he tried to tell us that it was up to us to prove that he hadn't bought a ticket, when it is the other way around, he said that he had thrown the ticket away because when he had gone in to the bathroom noone had bothered to take it, when he had clearly said that he didn't have a ticket yet. We called the manager down and she told him to buy a ticket or leave, then went upstairs. He then asked what the managers name was because he wanted to sue her, he kept on saying that he was going to sue and he told me that he was going to call his lawyer right then so I could talk to his lawyer. He also claimed that I wouldn't let him in because he was mexican, I am the least prejudiced person I know and honestly if he was Mexican, you could not tell even the slightest bit. I called the mananger back down and he told her several times he was going to sue so she told him that he had better leave because she had called the cops, she really hadn't but it worked because he threatened to sue once more and left.

then monday they came back to see the same movie that they had been so insistant to see Friday, threw the ticket at the person taking the tickets (the same person on Friday) pointedly said see, I have tickets, then came out after the movie was over and wanted their money back because it was awful

another thing, a guy told me that same Friday that despite what I thought that aparently I am personally at fault for the fact that movie theaters have so many trailers.

yea... why cant you make thoes movies any better?
the bad thing is, you remember the bad people more then the good.... oh well... ya did what ya had too...

I'm sorry that you had to put up with these rude people - but you cracked me up totally with the story of their antics!!!!!!:p :p :p :p

LOL, people are so stupid! He won't spring $15 for tickets but you're supposed to believe he's gonna pay a lawyer a couple of G's? LOL!

You really shouldn't have to put up with that. It IS sad that those will be the people who stand out in your memory. I'd love to forget a few jerks from my WDW days.

Sorry you had a bad time at work, alisha. what a couple of jerks! hope you have a better weekend.:D

Next time they show up drunk, have them arrested for being drunk in public & depending on the manager you can refuse to serve them in the future. Or if you want to be especially nasty, you can write down their license plates & as soon as they leave report them for drunk driving.

I can totally relate to your story. I work in a casino and boy can I tell you some stories...LOL.

Actually, it wouldn't really be nasty to call the police on them for drunk driving. Just responsible.

Look at it this way -- you only have to put up with them for a couple of hours. They are stuck with themselves 24/7.

I wouldn't consider that "especially nasty." I would consider it possibly saving the lives of that couple and other people on the road.

I would have reported them for drunk driving if they did indeed drive themselves.

I do not know your manager but sorry, I think she was derelict in her duty. She shouldn't have went back upstairs and left it for you to deal with these drunks. And if she did go back upstairs, it should have been to REALLY call the police. It is time to ban this couple from the theatre.

I lovvvvvvve when people threaten to sue! You should have asked for his name and address and threatened to sue him!! :p :p For what, I don't know, but that makes about as much sense as him saying that to you. :p

LOL Vickylan. :p

Has any "sober" person ever asked for money back because of the movie? How would this be handled? I'm certainly not talking about those jerks that came in. I would think you could have called the police just for the reason of being drunk and unruly.
