Hi Everyone
Thanks for reading our trip reports so far.
We left All Star Music around 11:00 and went for breakfast - no prizes at all for those we guessed where..........!!!!
We hit the I4 just after 12:00 and a clear run got us to the hotel just before 1:00. We are staying at the Wingate Inn, which is the hotel on the corner of East Fowler Ave and McKinley Drive (where you turn left to get to Busch). Check in was 3:00 but we asked if our room was ready and it was - hooray.
Dumped the bags and then we went to find the Hard Rock Hotel/Casino in Tampa as our friends Emma & Neil collect shot glasses and this one was missing from their collection. After a few wrong turns and some scary looking neighbourhoods, we found it.
WOW I am in heaven - slots everywhere. DH's wallet is shaking with fear especially when I spot the poker tables!! Having restrained me from the poker, he allows me to go on some slots. I am just about breaking even when DH starts showing his 'i'm getting fed up' face. I cash in, we grab the shot glass and head back to the room, grabbing a subway on the way.
We booked the shuttle from the hotel to take us to Howl'O'Scream at 7:15. We have never done HOS so we were looking forward to something new.
Fenced off the areas as it did not start until 7:30. The rope dropped right on time and then the rain came!!!
All the houses were walk on - NO queues at all - not sure if the weather had put people off. Managed to get on Sheikra in the dark - WOOOOOO!
However, when waiting for Kumba they announced that due to the weather the rides would be closing. After that the rain got heavier and the lightning started.
We left at 10:30 as it was clear the rain and lightning was here for the night.
Overall, HOS is alot more scary than HHN and the houses are alot longer than HHN. The detail inside goes to HHN but our opinion is that HOS beats HHN.
The cast members are lay in bushes, trees and bungie out of bushes!!!!
Great night!!!
Tomorrow Busch Gardens, Adventure Island and HOS VIP Tour.
Claire & Neil
