Drum Major tryouts

Tonite is the nite that my brother finds out if he made drum major. The only reason he might not get it is because he will only be a sophmore next year and usually drum majors are older. I'm sooo nervous for him. My mother made me drop him off early cause he was driving everyone crazy...AHHHHHH...Pixie Dust pleeessseee!!

Tons of pixie dust for your brother! My DD made jr drum major for next year and I know how crazy they can get. At her school if you are selected for jr you then become sr drum major. Thank goodness we don't have to go through tryouts again next year!

He didn't get drum major but he got class rep and section leader which he isn't too sad about. There's always next year...

Well congratulations on class rep and section leader, both very important postitions! It's rare to see a Sophomore in any kind of leadership position. (Well in our band it is anyway) Tell him to keep working and next year I bet he will get it! BTW I am a former band directors wife.
