drugs for depression during menopause

Not sure if I really want to take anything but this depression Ive been going through isnt a good thing. Ive been blaming it on the weather/cold but not sure if thats all it is.
Anyone take anything during menopause? were you reluctant at first? was there weight gain w/these drugs?
(pls dont come back saying Im a loon - some of you already know that)

Please read this message board before taking any of the SSRI antidepressants. They can make your life a living hell.

If you take bio-identical hormones..........that will take care of depression, hot flashes, weight gain, mood swings, hair growth/loss..................so many things that women DON'T know are connected to their hormones..........and doctors will give you all kinds of medications to mask symptoms.......but don't treat the issue.

If your pharmacist is a "compounding" pharmacist you can call and ask him questions..........you will be amazed at what your hormones do!
