DrTomorrow @ WDW - Day 1: Descent Into Filth

...almost every villa doorway had a half-circle of dark stains on the yellow carpet...
That's what happens when you stumble back from the Rose & Crown with no memory, no room key and half a yard of Guinness.

Enjoying your report, Dr. T.

Do we think the half-circle stain shape is due to foot wiping, or all those leaky garbage bags sitting in the hallways that we keep hearing about?
Did you do a garbage bag count? :scratchin

Thanks for the upbeat reprt on BCV--I still keep thinking that I'll try it again next year!

Software Engineer to Math teacher--I'm trying to convince DH to go that route--says he would n't touch it for the world--I'm an English teacher and I'll bet you find it a most challenging yet rewarding career. Enjoy--the best part is eternal youth--you can always be a teenager mentally.

Thanks for the report I can't wait to read more!

lol
& doncha love it when they start discussing (like we can't hear them  ) how long it'll take this time, whether they should just meet up with you (much) later, and the oh-so-long sighs..... :rotfl2:

DD learned at least. she just starts shopping, talking to other guests.... :thumbsup2

GREAT report! :sunny:

No lines at the Front Desk and a friendly CM motioned us up. Once she found out we were DVC, we got a sincere "Welcome Home". She did the typey-typey thing, then asked "Do you mind what floor you're on, because I've got a 5th floor EPCOT view?"

That said, we found BCV - both our room and the entire resort - quite beautiful! Our room was quite clean: no bugs, no curly hairs, no feces. No holes in wall, no gouges in furniture, nothing broken. The view wasn't that thrilling to us: the tops of SE, Soarin' and UK(?) over trees. IMHO, EPCOT view isn't that big a deal - YMMV. But we would definitely love to stay at BCV again - a great resort!

So, after years of reading "Location location location" we headed off to the International Gateway. Color me impressed - it's, what, 3 minutes and you're in EPCOT!

Very nice to hear. You waste such little time when you go to EPCOT for a PS dinner, scheduled FP or a show like you said, just enjoy your food at B&C or wahtever you are doing and leave 10 minutes before anything you have planned-a fabulous perk for that location. Thanks for the update.

Since we were ahead of schedule, we walked back to the BCV boat dock and took the boat to MGM. It was an EMH night (open 'til 1AM, I think) and we wanted to check out the second (10:30) Fantasmic. Well, folks, it was a ZOO! The place was busy Busy BUSY! At 8:50, ToT was 60 min, RnRC was 60; even GMR was 50 minutes! Cra-a-a-a-zy!

.....

This was the first of 3 EMH nights we experienced, all unpleasant - my advice, avoid EMH-PM like the plague!
Post just this over on the theme parks and stragies board and sit back and watch the fun! :lmao: :rotfl2:

Great report though...have to dive into the others, now! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the great report! I agree with you about the evening EMHs, they are too crowded to be enjoyable for us.
