Dropping one person from a package?

We are a family of four. Our kids are 18 and 12 and we are thinking of booking a package with dining for September. Our daughter (18 yrs old) has a job and if she can't get time off, may not be able to go with us this year :sad2:
If we book a package w/dining and need to take her off the reservation, will we have any problem doing this?
Will they just remove her from the existing reservation or will they make us cancel and rebook?
I want to make sure we are able to keep the same resort we've chosen. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Hope I'm explaining this okay,

Missy

You shouldn't have any problem just taking her off the existing reservation. The only thing I don't know is if they will charge you a change fee if it's after the 45 day mark. Their policy is that if the change increases the price of the package you aren't charged; but if it decreases you have to pay a change fee. I don't remember what the the fees are exactly, but they should be listed on your confirmation.

I dropped my sister off of my last trip prior to the 45 day mark. No problems with doing that. However, I do believe as pp stated that there will be some sort of penalty if she is dropped after the 45 day mark.

My one suggestion is this with regards to the dining. If she cannot make it, leave all of your ADRs as they are now. Do not try to adjust them with one less person. Just tell the hostess you have one less person when you check in.

Have a great trip.

It is always easier to add a person than drop one.. so why not book it without her and then add her if necessary?

Any change that affects the price of your package downward *can* be subject to a change fee. If the price goes up they normally waive the change fee.

Moving this one over to Resorts & Booking.

Thanks!

Thanks for the info. Looks like if we take her off the package more than 45 out, there will be no charge. I think we should know for sure by 45 days out if she'll be able to get time off from work or not.

Thanks,
Missy
