Dropping off passengers at MK?

So, I've learned already - not to bother with the AAA Diamond parking vouchers ;

But another question has come up. I plan to take a "Mom-day" on our vacation, during which DH and DD will go to MK alone together.

I will GET TO GO SHOPPING!!!!!

My question is, I'd like to drive husband & daughter as close as possible to the TTC / MK, is there a "drop off" zone in the parking lot? Or would we just have to pay the $12 parking fee regardless?

What do the taxis do?

There is a drop off area near the Polynesian, on the end near the TTC. That is where the taxis are. There are signs directing you to it.

My husband drops my son off and picks him back up every trip we go on. My daughter and I like to be there from rope drop until the park closes and my son just isn't that into it. My husband has never had to pay the parking fee to do this. You just need to tell them at the booth what you are doing.

The way to the Polynesian (and the drop off area and the other "Magic Kingdom" resorts and the U-turn if you made a mistake) -- is the bear-right after the "toll plaza". Use the second booth from the right (sometimes that is restricted and you have to use the third). After explaining where you are going, or "asking directions" if you want to get fancy, simply drive on.

For the drop off area, take a left at the first light where you can.
