Dropping off car at the Dolphin

We are doing a one way rental in August to get from the cruise port in Miami up to Disney. We've never dropped off at the Dolphin before, we've only dropped cars off at airport locations before. How does it work there?

I did this a year ago - picked up a car from National at the airport, stopped for groceries, then dropped it off at the Dolphin (we were staying at the Swan). I just turned it into the bellman and he gave me a receipt. It was so super quick and easy - just pull up and tell the bellman you're returning a rental car.

I have another question!

I reserved the car for a 24 hour period, but was going to drop it off anyways the same day as picking it up. Can the car be dropped off at the Dolphin after the Alamo desk closes at 4:00pm?

Yes - you still hand the keys to the valet and get a receipt. It's not an official receipt from the car rental company - just one saying what time you returned your vehicle.
