Dropping a Guest

Right now I have reservations for 5 people. If something happens before I pay off the trip and that fifth person can not go how difficult is it to drop that person from the reservation. Will it mess up dining adrs and fp? as of right now everyone is going but I just want to have some information in my back pocket just in case Thanks everyone!!
 
I think your entire res will change if you drop the 5 person not just FP and dinning but res number hotel res and all . The good thing is you have till 45 days before your trip to change . Call guest relations at 1-407-824-4321 . They can tell you the way to help you . If I an not right please forgive me . Trying to help a Disney friend lol

No thank you for the help!! My daughters friend is joining us on this trip but her parents are going through a divorce and its getting ugly. So I just wanted to have my bases covered in case something happened. We have told them that after a certain date there is no turning back. I hope everything goes as planned but...
 
So just like the adults to take it out on the child not to let the friend go because of they prob . No good Mom and Dad let the Disney magic do it's thing , help the child out . Best of luck . Hope it works out for a good time for all .

I hope it works out as well. This little girl is like family to us and we just want her to have a great time and be stress free even if it’s just for a little while.
 
I had to drop my Mom off a reservation last year (we had a package booked) because she decided not to come. I called Disney to take care of it and it was no problem at all. I cancelled her fast passes myself and changed the ADRs that I could, but my hotel reservation number stayed the same. I think if you have room only with tickets separate, then you are probably stuck with the tickets; but they can be reassigned to someone else in the future. I really hope your daughter's friend gets to go.
 
Depends if it's a package or a room only. If it's a package any changes after the 30 day deadline will more than likely incur a change fee.

Your ADRs are in a separate system, and unless you did something prepaid like CRT, I wouldn't even bother changing the number.
 
I had to call Disney this week because of a potential change. My daughters step-father is about to become her ex step-father, they are talking about the doing the breakup after vacation to ease their daughters worries but Disney told me to not change the ADR's just show up with one less person and if I had to drop someone they would cheerfully assist me. The nice people their even told me if hit happens and I want to take someone else, they could cheerfully change everything. I asked about fast passes if it was within 60 days and was informed that if I had the Magic Band assigned to him they could help me as well so I would not lose any fast passes.

If you have a package and make the change prior to 30 days before check-in, there is no fee. If you make the change within 30 days, they typically charge a $50 change fee. ADR's will not be affected. If you have a pre-pay (like CRT), call or go online to modify. If it's a regular ADR, you can simply show up with one less person without penalty. The person you take off your reservation will lose FP+. No one else's FP+ will be affected. The only time you CAN'T take a person off a reservation is when that person is the lead guest.
