Hi! I know there must be someone out there who has done this before. Oh help please!

Just today I made my ADR for the Hoop for a group of 8. Six of us are definitely going to WDW & we're not sure about 2 others yet. I know I need to cancel at the 48 hour mark.

If only six of us make the trip, can I just cancel the other two people (at 48 hours of course) or if I try to change the size of our party, will they cancel my ADR altogether because I'm changing party size?

This is going to depend on the availability of the show... if you drop two people and they do not have a table for 6 available then they have to look for a table of 4 and 2 next to each other... this might create a mess for you guys. I would definitely find out if the other two are going asap! HDD is normally pretty crowded!

Ackkk!! Thank you! I guess I'm just going to have to call my brother today & ask him if he & his girlfriend are "in" or "out". Thanks!

I know this isn't the HDDR, but it is still a credit card guaranteed meal with penalties for no show or late cancellations. Anyway, I had a table for 5 for CRT for breakfast the morning we left in October. MIL had decided the night before to take an earlier flight home because she wasn't feeling well. I called and they were able to adjust our party size down to 4. We were on the DDP so we didn't have to worry about the refund but they still had our CC number and didn't charge us a penalty for late cancellation.

I think it depends on how many people the table you are assigned to can seat. Sometimes tables are 'allowed' a range, like 2-4, 3-4, 5-6, or whatever. If the table you're assigned to is for 8 people only, 7-8 people or 8+ people then you won't be able to remove anyone. If your table is designated for 6-8 then you will be able to remove two people. Did I explain that clearly? I'm not sure I did, LOL. We have been able to change party size when I didn't think we could, and we have not been able to change party size without completely rebooking when I though we would have been able to. Maybe if you call the CM can tell you?

Although we originally booked for 5 and decreased down to 4, they had us at a 4 person max table. So, they did change our assigned table unless they had planned to sit one of us on the corner (which one restaurant tried to do by the way with half the place empty!) Anyway, I really don't think CRT had planned to sit 5 of us at a 4 top, I think they just reassigned the tables.

We had a table of 17 booked for the HDDR and 4 in our party had to cancel. They had to cancel our whole reservation and refund the money. At first they weren't able to accomodate a party of 13 but then when I called again the agent still couldn't help me but gave me the phone number for the HDDR and told me to call them directly and they might be able to help. Well, that worked and we were able to get a table for 13.

They said that the reason they couldn't accomodate 13 is because they can only have 1 empty seat at a table and with the size of our party, they would have 2 empty seats at a couple tables.

But the CM at the HDDR just put us up in the balcony in one big row of 13.
