I just bought this for work a few months ago 16 mp and 20x zoom. I can view the photos on the screen, but it is all black, will zoom, ,ake the click, but no photo....don't even know where to get it fixed, I paid a handful for it. Dropped during Wishes fireworks last week.
I bought it at SAMs, not sure if I have a warranty......does any one fix them? Panasonic?

Most likely it isn't going to be covered under a standard warranty. As far as where to get it repaired, start by calling Panasonic. They will point you in the right direction. But be aware that point and shoots are made to be somewhat disposable. When they break the repairs can easily cost as much or more than the camera.

That is what I suspected. I paid a bit more for this camera then a pick up P n S because of th lens, zoom, 16 mp etc. thank goodness it was not the DSLR. I had hoped it may be a part that others may have run into for a repair at a nominal cst. Everything else is working but the aperture or lens not opening. I guess just a plastic part. Sad thing I dropped my Sony P n S this Spring.

I guess a neck strap is needed. I carried it on a wrist strap and slipped it into my pass holder neck Carrier. If it was a $100 and happened once, but this is ridiculous amount of money I have paid for them.

My DD dropped my Canon Powershot while we were in AK in August. I had only bought the camera in March so fairly new. I took it back to the dealer to see if it would be covered under the original warranty or the extended warranty. They didn't think so but sent it to Canon anyway. I got the camera back 2 weeks later repaired. It's worth trying to see if it will be covered.

Thanks! I know we have two other Lumix reg. so maybe it will help. Hate to be w/ o my gem.
