My friend went to see Dropkick Murphys in Boston and he said that they were really good and like knows all their songs, I've come to truse his musical decisions, (having introduced me to Linkin Park) but this band just seems a little weird, what with some of the lyrics, especially the Jig of Spicy McHaggis, does anyone else listen to their music? Is the rest of it like that?

Yes! I love them, too bad they haven't come near me yet. I have a couple of their CD's. They're cool, but if you like rap and pop, you probably wouldn't like 'em.

DKM is a fantastic band -- if you want a good solid intro to them, pick up Do or Die. Caught in a Jar, Skinhead on the MBTA and Barroom Hero are some of their most popular (and catchiest) songs.

If you have the chance to see them live, GO! They're great, and their shows are wicked fun. Spring break of my freshman year of college I went to Boston with some friends and saw them on St. Patrick's Day, and it was one of the best shows I've ever been to.

When I was 16, right after I got my license and my car (and when my Mom was still freaked out about me driving on the freeway at all, let alone long distances), I told her I was staying at a friend's house and drove 3 hours to Dallas to see DKM with the Ducky Boys. 6 years later (God, I'm getting old!), I can see that that was probably not thewisest thing to do, but it was definitely fun!
