Yes, and there are four rooms.
The picture in the upper left quadrant there looks like an individual screen per rider. But I guess not.like Soarin

Similar to a garage door. It raises up, over and down behind you. That is a partition that raises when the ride starts.
I've been involved with the the attraction since way before it opened and can say without question that it's no where near 10 feet. Those are actual photos of the attraction?
This

Because when you combine what you feel with what you see it feels like 10' but it's not. Disney has done that good a job at making you think it's all realI'm just saying I have heard both things... And just because I see a picture of 1 inch, 1 foot and then a 2 foot gap doesn't mean that there isn't a 10 foot gap that isn't pictured. I don't know you or know that you have anything to do with the attraction even after it opened nevertheless before it opened. Someone stated that it dropped pretty significantly and showed pictures on the FOP thread about a month ago. Before that I had no idea it dropped at all and just thought the ride mechanism itself moved.
I'm glad to know it doesn't drop very much. Thanks for letting us know from behind the scenes.
This one is nothing like ToT. Very, very similar to Soarin, but more of a tilting forward motion and a much better ride! Riding on the back of a banshee feels like driving a motorcycle whereas Soarin has you sitting on a chair under a hang glider. For those with motiom sickness, the ride setup, screen effects, and movements all feel the same as Soarin, but more intense.
Since it relies on the visual from the screen for just about everything on the ride, yes.Thank you ! I'm so glad to know that it is a forward tilt and not a drop. Now I'm sure that I can ride it. When I'm on Soarin', I can just close my eyes if I start getting dizzy, do you think I can do the same on FOP and still be ok ?

The only parts not on the screen are some mist and some sensation from the ride vehicle to feel like a banshee breathing under you. So closing you eyes will eliminate most everything
If this is true and you are that prone to motion sickness, i think some on here are downplaying or not aware of the actual bounciness of the room. It does move up and down quite frequently. It is more of a bounce than a freefall, but the room is definitely moving quite a bit.but I can get motion sick on a elevator if it is too jerky
I looked side-to-side while I was riding it a second time and I thought for sure I saw a row of people both above and below us (with two sets of vehicles per row). I thought it had three levels like Soarin'.Yes, and there are four rooms.
Yes. There are 4 separate theaters. Each of the theaters has 3 levels. Each of the levels in each theater has 2 rooms with 8 seats each. So 48 seats per theater if they are all working (which they aren't).I looked side-to-side while I was riding it a second time and I thought for sure I saw a row of people both above and below us (with two sets of vehicles per row). Go it. By "room" I thought you meant the rooms that hold 8 ride vehicles, not theaters. I understand that keeping the hydraulic systems from overheating has become a bedeviling problem right from opening.Yes. There are 4 separate theaters. Each of the theaters has 3 levels. I was so involved in the ride, I had no idea the whole floor moved. I don't like drops and I loved this ride. I took a Dramamine just in case because of my motion sickness. I didn't have any trouble at all. I closed my eyes a couple of times when it gave me the stomach dropping sensation. I think it's worth the risk to ride it.
