Is it possible for my husband to drop the kids and I off at TTC and then go park the car and meet us?

With an 18 mo. old, a 3 yr. old and a stroller, I'm hoping to avoid having to get everyone/everything on a tram from the parking lot to the TTC.

Anyone ever do this?

Thanks!! :)

Carolyn - I am wanting to take my kids when they'll be the same ages as yours, so I will keeping an eye on you for when you do your trip report! As far as your question, though, I wouldn't think that would be a big deal - you may have to walk a little ways with you and the kids solo, because I don't think your DH could get as close as the buses do with a car. If I were you, though, I would totally do the tram - you will be nither the first nor the last family with little ones and gear assembling yourselves on a Disney tram! And they usually sit there a couple minutes to let people run across the lot to get on, so you should have time to load up. Are you staying offsite? Or just thinking your car would be easier than the buses? I really want to stay at either a monorail or boat resort (Contemporary, WL or somewhere along the Boardwalk) to try to keep the bus rides to a minimum...I feel ya on that.

Thanks for your response! We are staying at BCV next time. On our first visit, when my son was 15mos., we stayed at the Contemporary which was wonderful!! We loved it!! We decided we would likely be visiting WDW frequently for the next several years, so DVC seemed like a great idea. We stayed at VWL last Sept, and loved that, too. I would highly recommend either of them. We wanted to try a new place next trip. Thought the pool at BCV would be great, especially with August heat, and being able to walk to Epcot and take a boat to DHS sounds great.

The only tricky part for us on the next trip will be getting to MK, I think. I just have visions of struggling with the stroller and all our gear to get on the tram. At least with the boats from VWL (and from what I hear the boats from BCV) you can just wheel the stroller on. That mad rush to fold up, get the stuff, get the kids... I have neck/back problems that can flare up here and there, and all that lifting/rushing can take a toll over a long trip!

I guess maybe we'll try it both ways - drop off at TTC, and just parking and taking the tram. I suppose another adventure would involve walking to Epcot, and taking the monorail, but that sounds like a long trip in the August heat...!

yes, you can get dropped off at the TTC. Just follow the signs for the Poly. There is a drop off point near there(near the taxi area). Your husband can then circle back around and park.

He could also drop you off at one of the resorts and you can hop the monorail there and meet him outside the park. Just a thought.

Hmmm... interesting idea about the resort! I hadn't thought about that... thanks!! :)

Ooh, I totally forgot that Epcot was on the Monorail, too - I think ya probably just sold me on the Boardwalk! I love that little enclave. But yeah, we are planning for a trip in January (I can't do summer in FL - would ruin the magic for me, I am a wimp) - probably not so fun in August!! Thank you for all of that info & confirmation of my good taste! :rotfl: I hope DH thinks doing the DVC is a good idea after our first trip, too. I really would like to make this a yearly thing, since we only live about 7 hours away by car...and it is my most favorite place on earth! I will have to go find a thread about that - very curious what folks think about DVC...
Thanks, Carolyn!
