so, our plans have changed and converted one MK day to an EPCOT day. I have a 5:30pm ADR for Chef Mickey's then. Should I just replace it with Garden Grill (no Minnie Mouse :sad1:) or take Disney transportation from EPCOT to Chef Mickey's for dinner then back to EPCOT for Illuminations???

I know that Garden Grill is the better option, but I need to be talked into letting our Chef Mickey's ADR go....

1) Are you ok with losing at least 2 hours of park time?
2) What time of the year are you going?
Is it still peak season? If so, maybe it's better to just stay in the park. With the influx of visitors in the busier seasons, everything else takes longer: transportation, dining, security check.

We're going off-peak, in sept. Isnt there a monorail from epcot to MK?
Hmmm... If losing two hours, id rather dine at our resort - Boma!

I would change it to GG in a heart beat! Just make sure you can get an ADR at Garden Grill first of course. Not only because I think Chef Mickeys for dinner is terrible IMO (love breakfast but hate dinner there), but you will also have more time in the park. Garden Grill has gotten fantastic reviews recently, not only because of the food but the character interaction there is one of te better experiences. We are very excited to go back to GG in november. :thumbsup2

don't get me wrong cuz personally i love chef mickey's but i would suggest switching to garden grill.

it makes much more sense.

plus omg i went to garden grill for the first time in july i can't understand why i never went sooner.
the food is amazing, the rotating experience is fun, and i love chip n dale!
its my new must eat at restaurant from now on at epcot.

Now, im convinced! The kids dont know chip n dale, this dinner would be a good time to introduce them, thanks for sharing your insights.
