I use a BB Tour for my work. I own the phone but my broker dealer requires BB for security reasons. I most recently have also used a BB flip (use both), as I have always liked flip style. The keyboard on that device was BB Sure-Type. I had my reservations on using it but learned to quickly like it. As well as the traditional keyboard of the BB Tour, a solid, traditional BB style device.
My flip quit on me about two weeks ago. Just went black screen, dead, completely. After a lot of online research for a couple days, I went to my carrier, US Cellular and purchased an HTC Desire (Android). It is touch only.

The predictive text, among other things, even for a big old guy with big old fingers, really, really loves this device. And Android is stunning, especially when coupled with some proprietary HTC things that run in the background. I still need to keep my BB Tour for my work, but still use it as little as possible.
I would suggest, Allison, getting a touch only, from your carrier, (and I presume your carrier gives you a 30 day return policy, US Cell does, and I think all do) try it for 30 days and see if you want to exchange for a Droid Pro with touch and regular. If you can get the Pro, I would say you are Verizon. Look at the HTC Incredible.
