Anyone have it? DH has the original Droid and loves it, but I don't want a slide- out or touch-screen keyboard. I picked the Pro because it looks so much like my BB. Is it a marriage of the two?

Also, if you went from BB to Droid, do you miss BBM? I don't like Google Chat as much as BBM...

I went from a BB to a Droid X and the X is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better. I LOVE the virtual keyboard. I wasn't sure i would like it at all but the larger screen on the X won out over the Droid 2. It took me one text message to fall in love with the virtual keyboard. Held horizontally the keys a almost the same size as my keyboard on my laptop and so much easier to use then any other phone I have ever had. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my X.

I use a BB Tour for my work. I own the phone but my broker dealer requires BB for security reasons. I most recently have also used a BB flip (use both), as I have always liked flip style. The keyboard on that device was BB Sure-Type. I had my reservations on using it but learned to quickly like it. As well as the traditional keyboard of the BB Tour, a solid, traditional BB style device.

My flip quit on me about two weeks ago. Just went black screen, dead, completely. After a lot of online research for a couple days, I went to my carrier, US Cellular and purchased an HTC Desire (Android). It is touch only. :scared1: After about a week, I am :yay::yay::woohoo: The predictive text, among other things, even for a big old guy with big old fingers, really, really loves this device. And Android is stunning, especially when coupled with some proprietary HTC things that run in the background. I still need to keep my BB Tour for my work, but still use it as little as possible.

I would suggest, Allison, getting a touch only, from your carrier, (and I presume your carrier gives you a 30 day return policy, US Cell does, and I think all do) try it for 30 days and see if you want to exchange for a Droid Pro with touch and regular. If you can get the Pro, I would say you are Verizon. Look at the HTC Incredible.

Have a wonderful Christmas Season with those two little cherubs you have there, Allison.

Thanks for the comments so far. I had a slide-out with my last phone and I didn't mind it. But I love the keyboard being on the front with the BB.

I will look into the return policy, Dan. Good point. You also have a great holiday!

I know, her kids are the cutest dang things ever :thumbsup2

I had to use the BB for my old job as well, hated the thing but it was all security issues as well. When I retired I was more then happy to get rid of it!
