Driving without the kids this year

We are headed down for December 21 - 28th, and were planning on driving. However, my in-laws are flying down on the 15th of December, and happened to notice that the price for the same flight they had booked had dropped to $34. DH and I can't leave that early, but we can fly all the kids down for a week with their grandparents and then they will drive them up to WDW when we get there. Their flights were only $102 all in for the 3 of them!! so we couldn't pass it up. Seems strange that we will be driving without them though...but we will need our car after we leave Disney as we are all headed back to the in-laws for a week before home. Anyone else driving down for this Christmas??

We are. Leaving around the 18th. Plan to be in Orlando from December 20 to January 3 and we'll head home and back to reality for the 5th. Taking a more leisurely pace this time. Hope the weather cooperates.

We are leaving on the 19th. And coming back on the 2nd. Hope the weather
is good. Last year we had a lot of rain.
