I can handle roadtrips just fine, as long as I'm the one doing the driving (although that's not always the case.) The longest trip our family takes on a regular basis is from here to Provo UT to visit my siblings who live there (roughly 900 miles and 12-14 hours each way, plus or minus an hour for time zone change.) Back in 2007 I took a couple of fairly long roadrrips for th sake of taking a roadtrip though. On the first one I flew down to Provo for a couple of days, rented a car and went down to the Grand Canyon then to Las Vegas via some of the remnants of the old Route 66.) and back up for about 1,500 miles of driving in a week. The other one I went down to Provo again for a visit, then took the (really) scenic route back and spent a day at Yellowstone. That one ended up being a bit more than 2,500 miles total, including 750 to get home from Montana. 700 miles or so is just about my limit for driving in one day. If it's going to be more than about 1,000 miles one way, I'll generally just fly though (Disneyland is 1,200 miles from here, so that would defintiely be pushing it on the driving from here.)
