We are planning to drive from Austin to WDW next month. One of our driving days will be quite long and my DH is worried about developing a "numb bum".:headache:

Other than stopping to walk around occasionally, do you have any advice for a driver's seat pad? One with the beads?

If I have to go to one more auto supply stores just to look at our options I may do something desperate. :crazy2:

Thanks in advance for your help!

I think you can avoid the whole seat pad issue.

Get DH to immediately start doing 'bum exercises'.
If he can build up his bum, and take breaks in driving to stretch his bum.
He should be fine.

Oh, if he does start to get that numb bum-ness -- you could try to 'massage' his bum gently with the sole of your shoe to relieve the numbness.

HTH!!

Having done a 1300+ mile drive many times, I never used one but then again, never though of one.

If you can find one that's comfortable for him, why not. In fact, now I may go look for one for the next return to MA.

we drive from chicago several times a year when we first started i brought all kinds of things for comfort from travel air pillows to seat pads now they all sit in the shedd never used more than once
