Driving to the World- Need I-75 help

I'm just curious if anyone knows of any descent hotels.. preferably in Georgia or Tennessee... North of Atlanta.. but not too far.. to stop at for just a night to sleep.. nothing else for a cheap price, but clean.and in a descent neighborhood. We don't want to spend much.. just something quick, cheap, but nice... off of I-75

If you want a town to stay in that is North of Atlanta I would suggest Dalton, Georgia and to stay at the Hampton Inn off exit 333 which is about 2 hours before Atlanta. That is where my family and I always stay the 1st day when we drive back home to Toronto, so I would highly recommend it.

If you want to come about an hour further south from Dalton try Kennesaw GA. The Fairfield Inn, Residence Inn, Hampton Inn, Springhill Suites, LaQuinta, Days Inn, Best Western are all right off I75 and near many restaurants, the mall and a Chuck E Cheese if the young onse need to run off steam!

Calhoun and Cartersville are also good areas. The exit numbers have changed since I moved, but Calhoun is about 20-25 miles south of Dalton and there are several hotels and restaurants at the Highway 53 exit. Cartersville is about 20-25 miles south of Calhoun and is a slightly larger town.

I live in the Kennesaw area--that is about 7 - 8 hours for us to WDW. Not sure how long your total trip is so don't know if that is half way. Cartersville will be about 30 minutes more up the road (see the thread about construction on I-75).
