Hi,

I am working to get my husband to take the family on a cruise to celebrate our 20 year anniversary in 2006.

He has a hard time paying airfare for four of us. We have driven to Florida from our home in Wisconsin in the past and could do it in plenty of time. My question (as he has asked me) is parking at the port. How does it work, is it expensive?

Thanks!

We are sailing next Saturday. In our documents it says parking is $10 per day.

Or you can stay at the Radisson the night before and leave your vehicle there.

last November when we cruised it was $10 a day

Is there a parking fee at the Radison? Also, do they have a free shuttle?

I believe it is free. I do know they have a shuttle to the Port as I took that (we had rented a car and returned it)

Yep....both the parking and shuttle are free at the Radisson. We spent the night before our cruise there in '02 and then left our van in their lot for 5 nights.

Parking at the port was very easy. We first drove through the Disney docking/terminal area and were able to drop off our luggage with the porters right outside the terminal. Kind of like the kiss and fly at the airport. Be ready to stop and show Disney your id as they check the roster at different checkpoints. We then drove directly across the street where you entered a fenced in parking lot. Pay the Port Authority booth the $10/day up front and then park. We had no problem leaving our car and felt it was in a secured area. And there were plenty of parking spaces when we got there. Then walk back across the street to the terminal. :D

If we drive, we usually just park at port and pay the $10 per day. Our friends always stay at the Radisson and used the free parking and shuttle. They have never had any problems (and you do have to stay somewhere the night before anyway). We are usually at WDW the night before, so we just head to the port parking.
