Why not make a dining reservation, show up at the parking booth 2 hours and 5 minutes prior to the reservation, and then cancel it after they let you park?

Generally they only allow you to park 30 minutes prior to your dining reservation.

We have never had a problem getting into a resort where we have an ADR. Going to the walk ups, has been hit or miss.
We have been allowed in and been turned away. Our experience has been more likely to be turned away if the resort is close to a park.

the heaviest parking enforcement is at the monorail and Epcot resorts

And Skyliner resorts. Or at least Riviera. Even when I arrived in a Lyft I had to provide my Topolino's ADR confirmation to be let in the gate.

We have an 8:30 Starlight Safari reservation on a Tuesday - would they let us in at 7ish to go to the Mara and do some shopping? I'd rather drive than take Disney transportation since the safari will be done around 9:30.
