My wife and I will be driving to Disney in September from Central NJ. We plan to leave on a Tuesday bright and early, stop for the night around 6 or so and then get to Disney on Wednesday by early afternoon.

Does anyone have tips on where to stop for the night or other tips for the drive? Thanks!

I drive from Northern New Jersey. I find a nice stop for the night is Richmond Hill (near Savannah), I think exit 87 off I-95 in Northern Georgia. I am not a speed demon, so it takes me about 14-15 hours to get there, depending on traffic. I stayed at a Hampton Inn there, which is very nice with super white comfortable beds! Next door is a Comfort Suites which is only about two years old at most. The next day, we can get to Disney in about 4 and a half to five hours. :)

Have a great trip!!!

If you leave about 3:00 am instead you'll be able to easily drive staight through and be in WDW late that evening.

Pack the car the night before and get to bed early, you'll be able to get a decent nights sleep.

It's a 17 hour drive from Middlesex/Somerset County as long as you make your stops brief and time bathroom breaks with gas/food stops. Very dable with two drivers.
