From my calculations, it will take me about 18 hours. I would like to make reservations for about 12-13 into it and then drive the remaining 5-6 on the following day. Can anyone tell me where I will end up if I am about 5-6 hours outside of Orlando? I will be taking 77 south, I26 and catching up with I-95.

Thanks.

My DH is from SW PA, he says it is much faster to go I 75S
If you take 75 it takes about 12-14 hrs to get to Atl depending on stops, traffic and how fast you drive. From Atl to Orlando it takes 6-8 hrs.

depending on traffic: you should be close to the SC/Ga border
Go to mapquest.com and enter route planner info and it will give you a time estimate from start to ?(try hardeeville, SC)

I agree. I'm from Pittsburgh and have driven to Orlando numerous times, taking various routes. I 75 was the best way to go IMO.

 OOPS!
Went back and checked my old -- very old -- notes, as it's been quite a while since I've driven to Florida.
I77 is the way to go! Sorry, but I75 sounded so right when I saw it. (I keep telling DH the more babies I have, the less brain cells.)

I went 79S to 19S (in WV) to 77S to 26E to 95S...
...sounds like what you're planning, yes?

I've also gone70E to 270 (around DC area) to 95 --- a nightmare!
Along with a couple of other ways recommended by others that I would never use again.:p

By the way...
...sounds like you will need to go very near my house...
...if you let me know what time, I'll be packed and ready to go!;)

Thanks for checking...I couldn't imagine where I picked up I75 at??? Anyhow, I am SOUTH of Pittsburgh..but if you were in the driveway when we left, I would surely take you along!

I actually live very near the WV border (south of Uniontown, if you know where that is). I always say Pittsburgh because most people know where it is.

(The way my DS was behaving today, I'm VERY tempted to be in your driveway! LOL):p
