Driving to LAX on a Saturday evening - how much time?

We need to drive to the Avis lot at LAX from Disneyland on a Saturday evening. We want to be at the terminal by 8.45pm - I was just wondering what time we should be driving out of the parking lot?

Also, any suggestions for the best route?
