Driving to DLP

How many hours does a full tank last if driving at a normal speed? If driving continously. Karen has to drive 3 hrs to pick me up then we go to the tunnel or ferry then to dlp.

Just wondering if we should fill up the tank before we cross the border.

There's plenty of service stations on the way down to DLP, so it's probably best to wait until you're running out, as I believe fuel is a little cheaper in France than it is in the UK.

We filled up just before boarding the train then refilled when we left Disney.

Found petrol to be slightly higher when we visited in September so might be worth filling up before you get to France.

If I drive "normal" speed mine can last a good 4 and a half hours but it all depends on how many stops you make, traffic lights etc as these all effect the overal fuel consumption.

Thats what I thought, esp with the euro being low at the moment.

Thanks :):thumbsup2

We have to refill up the car, which really isnt too much hassle seeing what i have won.

I'm not bothered about paying for the fuel, i just wanted a rough idea on how much it will be.

Check to see if it is petrol or diesel. A diesel engine will cover more miles then a petrol one.

Also if it is a diesel then definately buy the fuel in France as the price is about 15p per litre cheaper then the UK even with the poor exchange rate.

I have always found that the petrol price to be equal to or slightly less per litre in France as the tax on the fuel is way less then what we have to pay in the UK.

I drive a 4x4 petrol engine & it can get me from my house in Kent to Disney & nearly all the way home on one 60l tank, that is with me driving at about 80-85mph. I always fill up before we come back to the UK as it has been cheaper.

My mums Renault Espace diesel can get us from our home & back from disney with still about a quarter of a tank of fuel left.

I have found that the Auchan hypermarket at Val d'Europe petrol to be slightly cheaper then the Auchan in Calais, so we fill up before we leave.
