Driving to Disney's Hilton Head From Toronto

Can anyone tell me how long it would take to drive from Toronto to Disney's Hilton Head Resort?

Can it be done in one day?

According to Mapquest, and they're pretty good, it's about 16 1/2 hours. That doesn't include meal or rest breaks, so you're probably looking at about 20 hours. So, you could drive it in one day, but you'd be pulling an all-nighter.

It is 15 1/2 hours to drive from Oakville to Hilton Head. We have timeshare there and go every year. It is doable to drive straight through but what we usually do is leave after work and drive past Erie, Pa. Then the next day you can do it easily. Otherwise, leave really early in the morning. You used to hit bad traffic going through Columbia, but now they have a bypass that saves about 20 minutes.

Beckley, W. Va is a good stopping point (a little over half way). We stopped there last year enroute to Hilton Head.

We stayed at Country Inn & Suites in Beckley recently.

It was nice and clean and free breakfast. They also had a great huge indoor/outdoor pool which made it the best hotel ever (with the exception of WDW) to the kids.
