So i just recently got a new car and thought it would be fun to drive to WDW in order to take advantage of my free parking benefits of my new AP. Also so i don't have to solely depend on the buses to take me everywhere.
I decided to invite my friend because, well she wanted to go.
so i figured that would be better than me driving alone, especially with it being a 13-14 hour drive, depending on how often we stop.
So my first question is how do we prepare for this kind of long drive? what will we need, what should we stop and see along the way, etc.
Next we are going the weekend of 24 hour day and the second SWW weekend and staying May 21-26. we plan on starting our drive down on the 20th.
me personally i am going to spend most of my time at Disney and maybe Universal. I know she wants to do more so shopping and beaches outside of WDW but wants to experience some of WDW while she is there.
I got us breakfast reservations at BOG as well and i know she specifically said she wanted to see EPCOT.
Of course she wants to see Magic Kingdom and she said she would join me for a bit to experience SWW just because its something new and different.
My next question is what should i show her while at the parks since she won't be at them for long?

If you add some more info, as in where your journey begins, it will be easier to answer your questions.

Because your friend doesn't appear to be very interested in the Disney aspect of your trip, plan what you would like to do and she can accompany you until she chooses to venture out on her own.

Is your friend going to use your new car while you're in the parks and she's shopping? If not, suggest she rent a car...

Need to know where you are and what your route will be... but some basics: cooler with drinks and sandwiches; road trip music (make sure you find something you both like); pickled wieners (in honor of Weird Al); shelled peanuts; dried fruit; giant bag of peanut M&M's; ac inverter so you can run a laptop off the ac charger.

Well, you're going to be in MK, Epcot and DHS... is she a roller coaster or a dark ride person? or both?
