We are staying at Wyndahm Bonnet creek and we would like to go to Chef Mickey one time. I tried to see if we could drive straight to the hotel and there were no directions on their website. Our hotel is on Disney property, so if we could drive it won't take too long. If we can drive straight to the hotel we would do it on our off day, if we have to take the monorail or boat maybe we would do it after the day at MK. We are only going there 1 day, and 2 days a IOA.

Would it be best for dinner or breakfast do you think? It is me (pregnant), DH and our 4 year old.

You can drive to the Contemporary and park there for your reservation.

While you can park there for your meal, I don't think you can leave your car there if you're planning on the day at MK.

Foodwise, I prefer breakfast at Chef Mickey's, but based on your situation...it might be easier to book a dinner ADR. i.e. park in the main MK lot, spend the day at MK, walk or take the monorail to the Contemporary for dinner, and then if you're done for the day you can just take the monorail to the TTC from the Contemporary to get your car.

The roads in WDW has good signage for getting around, and our GPS wven worked. It's very easy to drive to and park at the Contemporary. If you go on your off day you can have lots of time for character interaction. We go our last day, so we can have all morning for a leisurely character filled goodbye breakfast. :)

Disney World has very good signage. From where you are follow the signs to the Magic Kingdom. It will take you to the entrance of the parking lot (AKA the MK Main Gate). Choose one of the toll booths on the right side and tell the CM in the toll booth you're going to the Contemporary Resort. Continue following the signs to the CR. You can park there while you're eating at Chef Mickey's.

If you are planning to go the the MK before or after your meal, it would be simpler to park in the MK parking lot to begin with. In that case, when you get to the toll booths, use any lane, pay the parking fee and follow the signage to the parking lot.
