Hi, can anyone tell me the approx. driving time from LAX on a typical Saturday morning? It will be Sat 23 September if that makes a difference.

We are flying into LAX from Sydney at 9.30am and will be picking up a rental car then driving directly the GCH.

I want to book PS for Storytellers or Goofys and need to work out what time to request.

I am expecting the day to go as follows:
Arrive LAX @ 9.30am
Clear US customs and collect luggage by 10.30am (people with infants and small children get escorted to the front of the line based on my previous experience)
Catch shuttle to Hertz and pick up rental by 11.15am
Leave LAX no later than 11.30am
Drive to Anaheim???????
Check in to hotel if possible ???
Lunch at Storytellers or Goofys???

Any help with the above plan would be appreciated, as you can see I like to plan. LOL

Cheers

Weekends are bad on the freeways unless you are getting there early. It is just as bad as rush hour. :rotfl2:

Oh, so how bad does it get? We were there 3 years ago and the drive from LAX took over an hour in the middle of the day. There were lots of roadworks from memory.

What is the worst case scenario? :confused3

I think worst case scenario would be 1-1/2 hours, but I think that your travel time is more like 40 minutes to an hour.

Well, I arrive at about 11 AM on a Saturday in late June. I guess I'd better resign myself to a little bit of parking lot style driving. At least I'll get to see LA this way. ;)

we're coming in 1030 on Saturday 6/24. I'd better add time due to being a "lax rookie". I can do Orlando in my sleep!
