Driving Time: Disneyland to LAX???

I am going on my first trip to Disneyland next week and have heard so much about the horrible traffic to LAX that I have no idea what time to leave my hotel to go back to the airport. I have an 8:30am flight on Saturday and have to drop off a rental car. Can anyone please tell me what time I should leave my Disneyland area hotel? Thank-you so much for your help.

Unless there's an unusual accident, you shouldn't have much traffic at that day/time. We had an 8:55 am flight on Saturday earlier this month, and we left the HoJo shortly after 6:00 am and made our flight in plenty of time to get McDonald's for breakfast and eat it while waiting for our flight. We also dropped off a rental car. So, I'd say between 2.5 & 3 hours before your flight, so around 5:45 am and you'll be fine!

I second this. You shouldn't have any traffic at that time. Plan on about a 40-45 minute drive.
