Driving Routes. We're leaving Friday

We're driving from Ottawa the suggestion is I81/I95 from CAA. Did anyone have any other suggestions, other detours that may not save/lose too much time but the traffic is lighter and the scenery is better? We have a GPS so its easy for us to program in other routes and not get lost.

If you have caa get a triptik. They will also let you know of any major delays construction. If they dont let you know just ask them. As for traffic I sudjest a cb radio on channel 19. It will save you time. If there is a back up there is always someone around that knows away around. It saved us a 4-6 hour hwy closure when we went down in 2004. The detour took us 45 mins out of our way, but saved us big time. There is also numbers posted when you enter every state for traffic and construction info I beleive.
