Driving myself CRAZY!!

As the days until the 7th month window for a December trip draw closer, the more I read the boards the more I'm driving myself NUTS!!

I bought in to AKV in February, too late to book anything for a trip 12/7-12/13 so I waitlisted for a studio or 1bdrm, any view. Figure I'll try to book Saratoga or Old Key West at the 7th month mark and then hope the waitlist comes through.
Seemed like a good plan so long as you don't read the boards too often, one thread has people who had no trouble in the past getting SSR or OKW at that time , others say it's totally blocked already.

I think I may have to block this site from my computer for a few days or I'm going to completely oot of my mind!

Oh well, I kinda feel better now Is it Thursday yet???

Here's pixie dust for you...and my tale of my unexpected March trip which hopefully will make you feel LOTS better!

On March 4, DS called to ask if I would take him & his GF (both college students) to WDW for spring break (starting March 16--March 16 was in one of the three busiest/most expensive (points-wise) weeks of the year! The week before Easter...not a snowball's chance!)...in theory, sure, said I...but there's no chance there will be any room available anywhere--it's Easter Week; it's 12 days out; it's not gonna happen, but I'll call...if we're really really lucky maybe I can get a room in a different resort every night...do you want to go if I can 5 nights in 5 different resorts? Yes, said my energetic son...(and yes, he wanted me to go on the trip, too...how to melt a mother's heart!)

So, expecting nothing, I called MS...all nights available, but as predicted, a move each day...didn't wait list, but did decide to call back "just in case" each day...by March 7 I had four nights in an OKW 1-BR near the Hospitality House...it was the trip "meant to be"!

So, it CAN happen; it DID happen...at 7 months out if you're willing to stay in any of the DVC resorts (and they're all wonderful, each in its different way), I'd bet you a hot fudge sundae you'll get what you want...may take some waitlisting, but then again it may not...
