Will it matter if the address on my invoice is different to the address on my drivers licence when I pick up my car rental?

The address on my licence shows my parents address but I no longer live there. Now I know thats not technically legal here either but I'm getting married next year (it will be my honeymoon) so I don't want to waste money getting a new licence now just to have to get another new one in six months with my new name.

Obviously my address isn't on my passport but will it be on the voucher I use to pick up the car? And will they even check the address on the licence?

No it won't make a difference DH has still got our old address on his licence after 8 years

They have never checked our address before when we have picked up car hire

Having said that, ours is up to date as I am a wimp when it comes to breaking the law

Your license is fine and legal, even though it has your parent's address on it as long as a summons can be served at that address for you it is fine. People can and do use work addresses for such things and that is deemed to be legal!

I have the same situation! I recently moved house and my licence still has my parents address on. Im getting married in 2 weeks so i couldnt be bothered to change it again either!

Do it all in one hit when you get married - you can register a change of address for free so they'll update name etc at the same time at no extra cost.

I only recently changed my address with them (after 3 years!) - calculated deliberately as i needed to get one of the new photcard ones but wanted to wait until my endorsements were due for renewal - so i got a new photocard, change of address and removal of endorsements for no charge...

Yes a change of name or address when applying for your first photocard means that it is free
