Is there a book or video that I can get prior to taking the wheel in Florida ?

I know there are differences between our road systems and theirs........not least driving on the "other side " !

Anyone help?? Tips please !!

Thanks

try this link... quite a bit of info. Most of the guide books (like Simon V's A Brit's Guide to Orlando 2003... send the cheque soon, Simon!).. have a fair bit of general info. Hopefully someone else will let you know if there are any videos etc. Don't worry, it really is easier than you may think! Mike

There's a link to the Florida Highway Code from this website, which also has useful info and very good maps. I keep on recommending it to people - I have no vested interest, honestly!!

Just got back from our first trip last week. I was a little concerned about the driving (my first time driving outside the UK). However, all my fears were unfounded. Nice big roads, easy automatic car and considerate (compared to the UK) drivers made it very enjoyable. After 10 minutes on the M25 on our return I realised how poor the standard of driving is in the UK.

My only tip is to keep your eye on the road signs. There is often not much warning of turns/exits etc.

I'm sure that you'll find it very stress-free motoring.

I agree with all of the above.....it's a breeze compared to driving over here in the UK !!

It s easy driving in the US much better than here.Just remember that the cars are automatic and that D does not stand for Day and that N does not stand for Night like someone did so consequently they didn't go out at night time because the car wouldn't go
