Driving from the BWV's to BG?

I am in the mist of planning next summers vacation. We have decided to visit SeaWorld and BG's along with US/IOA next summer. We're planning to stay at the BWV's and tour SeaWorld and BG's. From what I have read its an hour to BG out I4, is this correct? We're only planning a day at BG's, getting my DH and 2 teens the vip ticket to ensure them riding all the coasters. Is it needed, the vip ticket to ride all the coasters? Or would they spend the day in lines without it? Is it a bad drive to BG's? I just don't want to spend my vacation checking in and out of resorts. As it is we wil spend 2 nights in a Loews hotel for US/IOA then to Vero Beach for 8 nights and then back to the BWV's for 4 nights to tour SW and BG's. Any advice on BG's is greatly appreciated we have never toured this park.
