My partner's parents are treating us to a WDW vacation. He and I will be driving - possibly leaving Pgh Thursday 9/23 and arriving by Sunday 9/26. From reading through all of your posts, I know it doesn't quite take this long. I'm trying to give us extra time to stop at as many odd roadside attractions as possible. I'm not too thrilled with WDW (sorry) but my favorite vacation activity is visiting roadside attractions.

As many of you have driven all or parts of the route, hopefully some of you have seen some interesting places to visit? None are too small or strange.

Also, I really don't like staying in hotels/motels - I much rather prefer B&Bs. Any suggestions on those along the way??

Thank you for your help.

P.S. This will be my third time there ('75 with parents driving in a bread truck dad conveted to camper - complete with the mid-70's "Pittsburgh, Someplace Special" logo on the side, '91 flying with aunt, uncle and their three horrible children).

We hardly ever stop on the way, but have stopped at the New River Bridge in WV to get out and walk around. If I had more time, I would spend a day in Savannah, GA. It seems like a really neat town, and of course there is Juliet Lowe's birthplace (Girl Scout leader here).

Thanks for your help - this is more difficult than I thought it would be.
