Driving from Mississippi. What's a good hotel?

Hello,

My wife and I are driving from Mississippi in November to Disney. We thought about staying on site, but ultimately decided not to. If we had kids, it would be different. We have been to Disney once, last July and we stayed at the Renaissance Seaworld. IMO the hotel was amazing. We may be staying somewhere different this year however. Any suggestions? and why? Thanks in advance.

It depends on a lot of factors!

There are so many choices, but....

What is your budget?

Do you want a kitchen/kitchenette? Since you're driving, you can bring lots of food items (been there, done that, and like the savings and convenience of at least some meals, coffee for morning, etc...)

What is your budget?

Do you want transportation/shuttles to the theme parks to avoid having to drive back and forth, or do you not mind driving to the theme parks?

Do you have any hotel points with any chains?

My favorites for being right in on the action but not paying Disney Deluxe prices is the Swan and Dolphin. Very nice for a grown-up trip! Nice rooms, beautiful pool area, walk right to the Boardwalk, Epcot, DHS (or take the boat), good restaurants right there, and they often have really great rates! I've used my Starpoints to stay for free, but gotten rates for my friend as low as $120 a night there. You do have to add in the parking fee and resort fee, but once you're parked, leave the car there!
