Driving from DL to USH

We check into PPH on Friday 8/18 and check out Wednesday 8/23 and we will have 5 day park hoppers. Park days will be Saturday 8/19 till Wednesday 8/23. On Wednesday we are driving to USH and staying at a Sheraton nearby. Looks like it's about a 45 drive without traffic? When would be a good time to leave? Should we leave around 3 or wait till 7??

In my experience 3:00 - 7:00 is the worst time to be driving through LA. I'd either leave by 2:00 to be of the road by 3:00, or leave after 7:00pm. There is one part of the 101 that is always jammed no matter what time it is.

I think 2pm is too late to leave. You want to be almost through downtown by 2 or you'll be in rush hour by the time you get near USH. If you're thinking of leaving 7pm or later, watch Waze to get a better idea of what's happening. I'd budget an hour if you leave at 1:30 or 8pm, more in between.
