As I usually do a "booze" trip over to Calais in December I was thinking about using the opportunity this time to take my daughter to DLRP for a couple of days.
:yay:

How easy is it to drive to DLRP and approximately how long would it take?
:confused3

As I can get the Eurotunnel tickets with my clubcard points it will obviously work out cheaper than going there by Eurostar, which is what we usually do.

It is relatively straight forward to drive to DLP from the tunnel.
Should take approx. 3 - 3 1/2 hrs.
There is a good route tool here

It's a fairly straightforward drive which takes 3 hours. Just gets a little confusing in a couple of places after you've passed the Charles de Gaulle airport, if you haven't done it before.

You need approx 20 euros each way for the toll barrier.

Let us know if you need more detailed instructions :)

Thanks for answering my questions...now all I have to do is work out how to let my DH I am going back to DLRP again this year and make sure DD sorts out her passport.
I thought this would be a nice treat as I took her off to University tomorrow, which was very hard, and she breaks up on 12th December so we should have plenty of time to sort out what couple of days would be best without interferring too much in pre-Christmasness.

actually, it's way under 3 hours on the way home - when you've left disney far too late and you're constantly dividing the time left till your train leaves by the distance to go and working out how fast you have to go....

Add a bit of heavy rain and I think DW would rather be back on BTM than in the car...

why has that happened to me every time so far??? :confused3

Anyone tried to avoid the toll roads and the £20 each way charge.

How long do you think it would it take?

I've done it a few times. its not too difficult, took me between 5 and 6 hours each way BUT that does include stopping a couple of times each way to go to a supermarket to stock up on the food/drink we like to buy, and also including stopping for a meal. if you drove through you could prob do it in 4 1/2 hrs if the traffic is good round the towns.

I'd recommend picking a route that takes you to Meaux and then cut back across to Disney (it should be clear on a map). Doing this has the benefit of missing the traffic on the free motorways round Paris and Charles de Gaulle airport. Plus you get to learn a neat back way into the Disney area by going via Meaux.

I've started driving the Toll roads down to DLRP and the scenic route back to the port so i can go shopping at the cheaper supermarkets away from the ports.
