Ok so i am going all in and driving from Central Texas to Orlando in three weeks. My question is if i am taking two adults and one 12 year old an done 3 year old how far can i push it? i fell i can make Mobile without putting a hurting on me. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good hotel? Was thinkign about the Drury with snacks and breakfast for free. Should try farther like Pensacola? Anything to stop and look at on the way once i get into Florida? thanks

Not sure exactly where in "Central Texas" but I lived in Houston for a few years. We could make it in one really long day. Get on the road at 4:30ish, into WDW by dinner (6-8ish). From further west I would plan a stop in Mobile or Pensacola and get a good nights sleep, get up early, be at WDW by early afternoon. Looking at San Antonio to Orlando its 1,100 miles, so only 100 miles further then when we would drive Pittsburgh-Orlando. We'd leave the same time and get into WDW about 10PM. We would eat fast food in the car and only stop for gas.

Saying central TX, I'm assuming hill country. If that is the case, I wouldn't go further than Mobile. Houston to Disney has Mobile as the half way point and since you are likely 3-4 hours, maybe even 5 further out, I'd say that would make the best stopping point. Could you push it to Pensacola? Absolutely, but with a 3 year old, it wouldn't be ideal.

We will be driving in from Dallas! How far should we go before stopping? We are thinking of stopping in Mobile or trying to make it into Florida before we stop. Which would be better?
