Can anyone please give me a rough idea of how long it will take to drive from the tunnel in Calais to DLP? Also, is it an ok drive, mainly motorway or does it take in city driving too? I've heard Paris is an absolute nightmare to navigate.
I'm looking at timings for the tunnel and was thinking of selecting a time slot between 4 and 6pm UK time (hoping for closer to 4 though), in my mind that would hopefully mean we'd miss most of the 'rush hour' traffic through France. I've got a good price for Premiere Class Marne La Valee for the night before our holiday starts properly, but I don't want to spend forever driving, especially as the day before we'll be driving from Germany to the UK.
Not sure if it makes a lot of sense? Basically, we're driving from Germany to the UK on the Sunday as we need to drop off one of our cars in Ashford on the Monday morning. So we'll be staying in Ashford on the Sunday night, sorting the car out on the Monday morning, nipping to Tesco/Asda to do a spot of stocking up, then getting back on the train heading for DLP, where we'll hopefully stay in the hotel I mentioned on the Monday night before checking in to the NPB on the Tuesday and starting our trip.
